The life drawing session gave me a chance to practice anatomy and a variety of dynamic poses.
The life drawing became harder depending on where we were sitting as it changed the perspective and angle, for example sitting on the floor would cause the figure’s perspective to become more exaggerated compared to on the bench.
By working in public I had to tune out all of the noise and movement of the other people in the room as well as people leaning over to watch what we were doing.
As we moved onto the quicker poses I worried less about the small details and focused on the general shape of the figure and silhouette. Moving forwards I would like to try and implement that into my workflow when drawing people and characters as I usually find myself worrying about making it look perfect very early on which is inefficient and delays my process.
